Pacha’s El Hotel in Ibiza, just round the corner from Pacha itself are having their terrace re-opening party on Thursday night. We’re also going to be attending and reporting on the International Music Summit from tomorrow at Atazaro, Hotel Fenicia & Pikes so along with Pure Pacha opening and Ibiza Rocks Hotel opening and of course Space it’s going to be a busy week…

All of the venues at the IMS have wifi so we’ll be putting photos etc as they happen as well as interviews as podcasts.

A shameless link to an old mate:

There’s a new multimedia thing that has been set up by an old friend of mine (tech crunch article from the other day). Its a closed alpha test at the moment but it looks really good and works really well. Koz has promised me an iphone friendly interface.

He set up the system that the big screens at the main uk train stations take the feed from and also a system so that all the BBC journo’s could blog from the gulf war.

As far as Ibiza goes I think we’ll (i’ll) be using them a lot and we’ll be doing alot of stuff this summer with new media stuff and are really looking forward to doing some interesting things with lenny and if all things pan out, ibiza rocks.

Sony Ericsson have said they want to do stuff with bluetooth at the hotel and I know that they (andy and dawn from ibiza rocks) are putting in wifi in the hotel so it should be an interesting summer.

There’s also stuff we hope to do with the IMS in a few days time.

We started with a podcast of Lenny’s gig at Mambo’s opening party the other night – more is coming…

Two major conferences have recently been announced that will take place in Santa Eulalia this summer. The first will be based at the 5 star Fenicia Hotel in Siesta from May 27th to 30th and is called the ‘International Music Summit’.

It will be hosted by Pete Tong and it is expected that most of the key leading music industry professionals will attend. Clearly planned along the lines of the Miami World Music Conference, it should prove popular to those in the music industry based here in Europe.

A star studded gathering indeed, but they won’t have to rely on the delights of Siesta for their entertainment. Elements of the conference programme are planned at both the Atzaro and Pike’s Hotels too including the opening of Ibiza Rocks Hotel and Pure Pacha at er Pacha.

Three weeks later and in complete contrast, the 5th International Conference on Nightlife, Substance Use and Related Health Issues has been confirmed as taking place at the new Congress Centre in Santa Eulalia between June 23rd and 25th.
Catchily titled as ‘Club Health Ibiza’ this conference marks a decade of international Club Health conferences focusing on the wide range of issues that affect the health of young people in nightlife settings.

This may perhaps prove useful to any stragglers still remaining from the Music Summit?
