International Music Summit 2010, Ibiza Announce Second Round Line-UpPosted by: admin in ibiza, ims, international music summit 2010
Sasha, Artist, UK. IMS Speaker David Guetta states: With the leading names across media and technology coupled with established artists and managers, IMS aim to generate the most rounded debates on electronic music with speakers from each corner of the industry. Other guests previously announced include the panels: Meet The Future
USA Today: Boom Boom Now! IMS will also hear from legendary producer Robin Millar, responsible for 44 number one hits, who will talk about why just one month after he retired from production duties, electronic music has re-inspired him, and see the return of 19-year old teen promoter Callum Negus Fancey from Let’s Go Crazy after stealing the show last year by stating “Who is Paul Oakenfold? My audience have never heard of him.” In addition, IMS has teamed up with leading consumer portal Resident Advisor, whose audience will select a topic and speakers for the Presidential Debate format which debuted in 2009 to great acclaim. Ben Turner, a founder and partner in the IMS, states: “IMS was never about the artists, more the people behind the curtain who help guide the gifted. In 2010, we’ve been overwhelmed by approaches from artists to be involved in some way. It’s a great testament to our first two years. Watch out for more special names to follow…” Finally reprising his 2009 role, electronic pioneer Tom Middleton will blog to the Beatport community what is being debated, who will in turn feedback and pose questions to the speakers. Once again the IMS Grand Finale will take place at the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Dalt Vila on Friday May 28. Last year, Basement Jaxx headlined with Pete Tong, Rob da Bank and Filthy Dukes in support. IMS has been inundated with requests from artists to perform at this landmark event. The headline acts will be announced imminently. The event is free to attend for all delegates of the IMS, with some 2,000 tickets available to the public. Tickets are available now from www.internationalmusicsummit.com Our free iphone app for Ibiza has been updated and is now available in the itunes store. Hostal Boutique Salinas, Ibiza presents cash donation to APNEEFPosted by: admin in apneef, ibiza
The total of 781.05 euros donated was raised at the Market’s raffle, which included a multitude of prizes donated by businesses and individuals from the island. APNEEF president, Carmen Boned, when presented with the cheque at the Plataforma Sociosanitaria on Friday 26th February, acknowledged the “hard work and effort” made by the hotel’s owners, Anita Dey, Dusi Wolfmeir and David Phillips. Thanks were also given to the event’s principal collaborator, Judith Bermudez. Funds raised, according to Boned, will go towards the purchase of various essential materials for the special needs children within the association. “We never thought we would receive such a large sum,” said Boned, “This is a fortune for us!” Anita Dey, who represented the Hostal Boutique Salinas on the day of the handover, explained that they were delighted to support APNEEF as it was “a local cause for local children”. She reiterated the intention to repeat the fundraising for APNEEF in the next ‘International Christmas Market’. Tonights ibiza sunset video
