Santigold, Hotel Es Vive, Ibiza, August 21st, 2012

Brooklyn-based Santigold played an intimate gig for 250 people at the gorgeous Art Deco Hotel Es Vive in Ibiza on Tuesday night, and we were lucky to be there.

She played a three song set on the roof terrace for the media just before sundown, which provided a truly beautiful setting for the singer and her two dancers and their somewhat unusual dance routines.

Afterwards, she played a longer set in the courtyard after dark to the full audience in attendance, which was entertaining and quirky. Her dancers accompanied her with a left-field range of props throughout, ranging from sledge hammers to briefcases, nooses and parasols. A great gig in a wonderful setting.
