The Ultimate Trip… Walking Ibiza

October 13th, 2010

Two Men, One Dog… no Pig!

No food, no water and no money… two men, one dog, opposite directions on foot… around Ibiza in 10 days!

Following an incredibly successful Ibiza Healing Day, two of the organisers – Toby Clarke & Tristan Soames – are embarking on an epic journey around the magical white Island of Ibiza. Leaving on Thursday 14th October 12:00 noon from the Port of Ibiza they will be walking around the entire coastline on foot, in opposite directions, with just enough food and water for 24 hours! After that they are on their own….

They are taking just €1 each and are relying entirely on the generosity of the island’s amazing inhabitants to support them in their quest to raise awareness about the beauty and vital preservation of Ibiza; protecting it from pollution and abuse, and also raising consciousness that we can collaboratively heal ourselves, each other and the island just by opening up to new ways of thinking and being. They are raising funds for Ibiza Preservation Fund – please sponsor them at http://tinyurl.com/37hlypv.

Tristan is a business breakthrough specialist helping small businesses to grow rapidly and is passionate about travel, coaching, NLP in life and business, and adventure – he runs regular workshops in both London and Ibiza. Toby runs Ibiza Reiki with his wife Belinda and, having been born in Ibiza, is passionate about preserving its beauty and highlighting the ‘other side’ of the island, thus ensuring it retains its purity for future generations.

Cosmo the dog, who is 50% Podenco (the Island dog) will be joining Toby. Tristan was going to take a pig, but it ran off to get the truffles.

They expect the journey to take between 8-10 days and will be blogging about their experience, insights and learning regularly. You can find out more or sign up to updates by going to Facebook group The Ultimate Trip or their blogs http://tobyvclarke.com and www.TristanSoames.com

The World Cup on display in Ibiza this morning

October 5th, 2010

It was a very pleasant surprise to find out the other day that the World Cup Trophy that Spain won this year was to be displayed in Ibiza Town this morning at the Consell and La Caixa bank. We couldn’t pass up this once in a lifetime opportunity to go have our photo taken with the trophy (and actually be allowed to touch the hallowed footballing icon).

Although it was a school day we saw various school classes with loads of excited school children all having their photos taken with the cup.

The trophy has now been flown off to Mallorca where it will continue its “tour”.
