NOWTHEN will be playing down at Guarana in Santa Eulalia port, Ibiza on Friday night. We’ve met the guys already and are great fun so we’re looking forward to some live rock n roll.

Here’s some blurb:

Playing together for a number of years, Rock n Roll sometimes riotous, sometimes powerful and haunting. Powerful bass lines, whirring guitar, piercing psychedelic organs accompanied by driven avant-garde percussion. Matched with all original, catchy, quirky songs that are instantly likeable and a passionate, charismatic front man. NOWTHEN are here to open eyes change life as we know it and have ONE F*CKING GREAT TIME along the way!!

Ryszard (lead singer) had always written music. He would play songs to his friends in his room on his acoustic guitar to entertain and sometimes perhaps enlighten the trippers, and think no more about it. Years went by and sick of being told he was wasting his life sitting in his room, and after meeting some like-minded musicians. Ryszard decided to join forces to give the trippers a meatier portion of the musical pie. Off the band of five went to the local studios to practice and after a while invited some of the friendly trippers to come and experience the delightful brand of powerful magical madness they created. The friendly trippers were shocked!!

The next week the friendly trippers came again, but with more friendly trippers in tow. The week after, the same thing happened and the number of the friendly trippers grew and grew. It grew so much in fact, there was soon a queue of friendly trippers down the stairs and out of the entry! ‘HANG ON! There must be something in this’ thought the band of five. NOWTHEN were born, unleashed onto and unsuspecting world, spreading their musical message of open eyes love and freedom.

Regulars at the world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool and known mainly in their adopted home of Leeds as the Biggest and Best Unsigned band in town. Playing regularly at Leeds venues such as The New Roscoe, The Cardigan Arms, Josephs Well, and The Primrose. Working their way up through the ranks of Leeds diverse music scene. Gig’s at trendy underground psychedelic event ‘Freak Out’ and Headlining Leeds Record Label nights for ‘Dead Young Records’ live event’s. Word spread and NowThen were asked to play The Brixton Jamm in London and headline a 12 hour unsigned band festival in Liverpool at The Barfly in May.

From there the band moved to Ibiza to be this summers resident band for CLUB NME every Thursday at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel. Playing alongside amongst others The Holloways / Ok Tokyo / A Human / The Click Click.

As a result of the performance here, the band were asked to play The ‘Ibiza Tailandia Full Moon Festival’ at Las Dalias. A Psychedelic set of Rock and Roll to Ballard was played with a huge mix of music to please a very mixed crowd. The event was shared with the likes of Kym Mazelle / Thai supermodels and appeared on Fashion TV.

Back to England a move to London to smash the scenesters circuit there with a high profile homecoming gig at happening venue The Monto Water Rats. Then a Triumphant Headline Return to The Cavern Club Liverpool set the pace for the biggest gig of their career; in Support of Alabama 3, at Leeds premier live music venue ‘LEEDS ACADEMY’ NowThen are the first Leeds based band ever to support a Major act at the LEEDS ACADEMY.

ROCK NIGHTS in Ibiza doesn’t close the doors in winter … On the contrary! Back stronger than ever with a traditional party celebrating Halloween. One night when dead rock stars like Elvis, Jimi Hendrix or John Lennon dance with demons, vampires and werewolves.

Securing the rock brotherhood between ROCK IBIZA NASTY MONDAYS NIGHTS NCB MADMAX & SOREN are back to throw the club down with his show of Rock’n'Roll and fun also with COLIN PETERS and LOST ANGELES.

There is also an audiovisual show by JASFER, try to survive the attack of the evil DR. Jesu, which threatens to dominate the planet with his horrific visuals. BETTY BAUER & MAYA HENDRIKS, becoming “COUNTESS DRACULA and her ZOMBIE BALLERINA” will offer a live show that will fascinate and captivate.

You can pay tribute to your favorite rock star in the “DEAD ROCKSTARS HALL OF FAME” installed in the Hall, and even better: You can even impersonate your favorite rock star (even though they are dead) thanks to NIGHTS ROCK STAGE, which premieres tonight! No more inflatable guitars and imaginary drums… Be a Rockstar, baby! And of course, there will be prizes for the best Halloween costume or rock star zombie. On October 31st winter returns to Ibiza. Once again Bambuddha Grove hosts its Infamous and now legendary pagan Halloween Dinner Ball & Closing Party. Prepare for an awesome night, as the Grove is transformed into a weird underworld where Black Sheep and night creatures of Ibiza meet one last time to close the summer season in a depraved- sexual and religious way.

The restaurant will be presenting a special 6 course menu to celebrate the ceremony. Their bars are ready to shake its terrifying selection of crucifying cocktails. Kids Halloween at Bambuddha’s

On Friday the 30th October from 7pm till midnight Bambuddha Grove will host a junior version of its well known Infamous Halloween extravaganza. All attending creatures and goblins will enjoy a fun-packed night in the safe, “eerie” surroundings of Bambuddha Grove.

Something new has arrived for winter!

Playa D’en Bossa’s freshest and best loved late night location – Delano – gets set to open this Friday with a winter full of activities to fill your weekends right through till new year.

Transformed into a winter destination with an exciting menu addition – DELANOODLE – brings you a Japanese noodle bar right onto Playa D’en Bossa beach. From 8pm till midnight sample the delicious and tastily priced variety of noodles: ramen soups, miso, hot and spicy curry noodles or mouthwatering teriyaki steaks all starting at 7€ a dish. Served with sticky rice, warm sake and Japanese beers in a canteen style perfect for cosying up with friends on these dark winter evenings.

Right on the beach but with toasty heating and the Delano’s killer sound system, post dinner fun comes in a range of tastes carefully curated by our resident Justin Field.

Friday nights – D A N C E – will be rowdily hosted by the Delano summer residents of System of Survival (IANVS71, Circo Loco), Nima Gorji (Welt), Manu-L (M+H, Monza) and Enzo Siragusa (FUSE) on rotation.
Saturdays – L O U N G E – feature the more laid back house vibes of island favourites such as Ernesto Altes (S’hort Records) , Hofer 66 (SENSE), Joseph Rivas or Jonathan Tena.
And on Sundays – nothing – or at least as little as possible, once the Delano Sunday Roast has filled your stomachs, kick back and chill out to some beautiful Balearic vibes whilst enjoying the stunning view of Bossa in winter…..and maybe just one more hierbas…

It’s simple, why not take one of the worlds most famous islands, invite a 1000 of your best rock mates along for the trip and plonk them on the white isle of Ibiza with their families n kids in tow and have a total rock out over 7 days of fun packed rock n roll debauchery. Add to that a Marshall wall for most of the evenings, bring in about 20 bands and let this new HRH horde party hard with artists, press, DJ’s and mates alike all over this sun kissed isle.

This new niche event is proudly sponsored by Classic Rock, Metal Hammer, Classic Prog, Rock Radio and Scuzz TV, who will each be hosting an arena during the weeks trip. There will be 5 big nights out, crossing the full spectrum of HRH. This will include, Classic Rock, NWOBHM, Classic and Battle Metal, Young Bloods and even a Prog evening with some special talent to be announced shortly. HRH will be taking the world famous venues within Ibiza and lacing them with Rock couture to make it,”all in line” with this first ever rock n metal crusade onto the shores of Ibiza.

The event will not solely be about big nights out but will also include, some unplugged sunset sessions on beach front venues plus all out madness in open air venues during the day as well as multiple catamaran boats all rigged up for the sheer hell of it. Hotels are being kitted out exclusively for this special event plus a range of sport and day time activities. There will also be a special HRH concierge service locally offering everything right down to restaurant bookings.

The concept may be described as insane, but that’s the boundaries that HRH continuously break, to create total rock n roll experiences. There will be 20 bands flown into party with the HRH horde as well as some local Spanish Talent to fill in the gaps. First bands to confirm include tried and tested HRH legends
