Ibiza sure sounds like a place to visit. The Amante Beach Club looks very nice, I just wish I had visited this gorgeous place when I still lived in Europe – it is harder to get there from here in Australia!

    Hey everyone,
I wanted to make you all aware that we have a very special table at Amante sponsored by Laurent Perrier available for lunch or dinner, 7 days a week. The Laurent Perrier table at Amante is situated in a private location away from the restaurant and overlooking the Mediterranean. Guests receive a complimentary glass of Laurent Perrier champagne upon arrival & the table comes with its own waiter. The menu is 4-courses specially designed by our chef, Mario. Reservation essential.
Aso, Amante is the perfect location to host a wedding or special event. check http://www.facebook.com/amanteibiza to view photographs of events hosted there recently.
    All the best
    The Amante Team.

This is a fantastic venue and one of the best locations to eat on the island. The food is excellent, well presented and the prices are very reasonable compared to similar places. My only gripe was the service. On arrival they had no record of our booking. An extremely rude and surly woman told us to ‘wait there’, not ‘take a seat at the bar’ or anything polite. Someone else then came over and said ‘take a seat on the sofas and I’ll get you some drinks’, which never happened. We were then ignored for about 15 min until they sat us at a table which had been empty since we arrived. Once seated, the waitress was fantastic, but the waiter forgot what we’d asked for on three seperate occasions. I got the feeling he was filling in, he seemed a bit lost.
All in all, I would recommend Amante as a wonderful place to eat and chill out for a while. I’m sure the service will improve in time and while the girl at reception may of been having a bad day, she could do with a few lessons in courtesy.

The place is nicely decorated and the view of the sea is fabulous, lovely to swim if you can put up with a pebble beach as it is localy known. On arrival we were shown to our table which was OK, but we didn’t want to eat having people chilling out fifty centimetres away from us, so we asked for another table and in spite of them being empty we didn’t get one. The waiters and the cook could do with some proper training, we order an apperitive which never came, then we order our food and we waited at least twenty five minutes or more, so we asked for the wine at least or the entrees, no one knew anything about anything and when the food arrived a big disappointment!!!!!!, we had ordered a dish from the menu and they brought something completely different, on asking him “why” he agreed that other clients had complained, well of course, what are menus for? and last but not least was the food: small quantities though nicely decorated , but this cook hasn’t got a clue how to cook “black rice” a typical spanish dish which has always the same taste (no matter where one has it) it just didn’t feel eatable, it seemed to have been cooked with lard or some horrible grease. Apart from the service and the cook it’s a great place to have a drink and look at the sea.
