update: 8th September 2009 - Circo Loco posted on their myspace today that they will be having a special summer closing party at DC10 on 6th October from midday.
update: 2nd July 2009: The diario de ibiza reported this morning that the tribunal have upheald the decision to close the club and the 300,000 euro fine for the owner - so its highly unlikely dc10 will be opening this year.
Due to popular demand asking us, this is what we’ve heard about DC10 opening in Ibiza in 2009 the past 2 days. PLEASE treat this with a pinch of the proverbial salinas salt.
- DC10 will open and will have a strict capacity of 500 people
- DC10 will at the same time be given a temporary one month licence to see what happens
So it’s up to everyone who goes to DC10 to behave - if you don’t then you’ll know what will happen…

Pretty dissappointed that DC10 is opening on June 1st, as I will be at work in Leeds doing due diligence on the impending bankruptcy of General Motors, who are due to file for Chapter 11 that very same day.

DC10 is a special treasure of the island of Eivissa. The authorities should wake up to the fact that without the great clubs on the island, many people wouldn’t bother to come & tourism income would be slashed, affecting those who rely on the Summer visitors, from air travel, hotels, restaurants, taxi’s, off-licences & numerous tourist-related businesses. Can you afford to do without your most valuable assets.. . The People.
DC10 should be celebrated & supported. Free Ibiza from the bureaucrats. Let The People Party in Peace.

How can one of the greatest clubs on the planet be left to rot away? Knock down the west end - Burn the kareoke bars - tear down eden.. but for the love of god dont keep DC10 shut!

Re : Dave Gosling & Bainy’s comments.. . Surely we three aren’t the only people who think like us. DC10 is my 2nd favourite Ibizan Club ( after Space ) & some of my best days have been on the Terrace with the awesome Ms Tania Vulcano & the DC10 throng. Would the Island be a worse place without the West End ? No.
Would Ibiza be a poorer Island without DC10 ? Oh Yes.
