There are some moments living here in our paradise called Ibiza when you wake up in the morning yearning for a cup of English tea, a roast with Bisto gravy, or even a Mars bar. This is where the british supermarket White Island Corner Shop comes in.

The White Island Corner Shop in Ibiza is just that, on the corner opposite the car park down the road from the Eroski supermarket (that we all still refer to as the Syp) in Santa Eulalia. Despite the fact that they stay open throughout the traditional siesta break (2 – 5 pm), their stated aim is to keep the prices of comparable goods as close to those of the nearby supermarkets as possible.

In any event, they have no need to fear the local opposition.

A quick glance around the shop reveals that their product range stretches from brand name ‘cook-in’ sauces and traditional UK tinned foods to UK brand name frozen meals and the popular vegetarian option, Quorn & Linda McCartney, even proper Dettol and other well known household products like Zoflora, Mr Muscle, Flash etc! Not to mention the cold beer that so few supermarkets here ever remember to put in the fridge.

‘Good’ I hear you say, but the shop does even better – in addition they have ‘take away’ hot Pukka pies (including Sausage Rolls, Cornish Pastie and Cheese, Onion & Potatoe Slices), just in case you’re on your way to the beach.

If you’ve forgotten that birthday etc they also have a selection of Greetings Cards & Banners.
