Not content with getting knocked back trying to build a golf course in Playa d’en Bossa, Abel Matutes and a Dutch consortuium have instead bought Es Vedra and its sister island Es Vedranell. This actually makes perfect sense because San Jose have no control over Es Vedra so they can do what they want there.

Plans are to put a small 9 hole golf course on Es Vedranell and a 24 bedroom Hotel on Es Vedra which will be connected to Es Vedranell by a new bridge.
