Northampton Town pre-season friendlies in Ibiza

The Cobblers have confirmed they’ll be playing in the San Cup with UE San Jose and SD Portmany. The first game will be against San Jose on July 10 & then Portmany on the 12th.

Stuart Gray said: “It will be a good experience to see us play a couple of matches on foreign soil and there will be a chance for the fans to meet the players while we are out there.

“It’s a holiday for the fans, but it will be hard work for the players. We will be based at a training camp and it’s the perfect way to start our pre-season campaign as it gets us out of our normal environment and takes us somewhere where we can be together 24 hours a day.

“The games will be competitive, but they should be an excellent way to start our pre-season before we return to the UK.”

Much like Orients pre-season friendlies apparently only supporters travelling on the official package will be allowed into the games. We guess if you look & talk spanish you’ll probably be able to get in ;) since otherwise its going to be a bit of a partisan crowd….
