Last night (Easter Friday, 6th March) for the second night running Santa Eulalia was treated to the annual Semana Santa procession. This weekend is arguably the most religous weekend in Spain, so if you had any ideas about getting in touch with telefonica yesterday forget it. Its virtually against the law to work.
On Thursday there is a procession from Puig den Missa church on the hill just outside Santa Eulalia, down to the church at the end of the main street. Last night there was again a procession, but this time it came down the hill from Puig den MIssa, and then back along the main high street and up the hill back to the church.
The procession is a very strange scene for anyone who hasn’t seen it before and is quite moving.
